· 27th March 2006 - The progress has been excellent on the school construction of Hegalle Mahavidyalaya in Kosgoda. We have completed the Three Storey Senior Section of the school in the rear land of the site and are moving the school children in this building immediately after the Singhalese (Local) New Year Holidays which ends on 24th April 2006. I have included some of the pictures of my last visit to the school on 2nd March 2006. By now the complete structure is finished and my next visit is due on this Thursday 30th March 2006. · 03rd August 2005 - M/s G.M.V. Silva &
Sons submitted the bond for advance and Final agreement was signed
between RTSL & Contractor.
· 28th June 2005 - M/s G.M.V. Silva &
Sons were issued the Letter of Intent in confirmation of the contract
Site handed over to contractor for clearing and cutting for foundation.
Foundation Stone layed by M/s G.M.V. Silva & Sons for Building.
· 25th July 2005 - Second opinion on awarding
the contract is confirmed to be given to M/s G.M.V. Silva & Sons by Tr. Ashwini Kumar Hemdev and Tr. Swami of RT India.
· 6th July 2005 - All Bid and Tender documents
couriered to RT India - FTE Project Convenor, Tr. Ashiwini Kumar
Hemdev for second opinion on awarding contract to tenderer.
· 30th June 2005 - Tr. Romesh submits analysis
of the Building Tenders received.
· 15th June 2005 - Six Bids were received
and Opened by the RTS Committee.
· 10th May 2005 - Seven of the Eleven Prequalified
Contractors were given the BOQ of Building to Quote.
· 09th May 2005 - Foundation and Structural
Drawing of the Building Plans approved by The Ministry of Education.
· 05th May 2005 - Foundation and Structural
Drawing of the Building Plans submitted to The Ministry of Education.
· 22nd April 2005 - Advertisement for Prequalification
of Building Contractors is published in the News Print Media
· 10th April 2005 - Boundary Fence work
completed by Jaywise Construction.
· 4th March 2005 - Clearing and Cutting
the earth for Foundation began. RTS Committee briefed the RTSL Board
of the progress made so far. Jaywise Construction handed over the
Contract Agreement duly signed and requested for the mobilisation
advance.
· 3rd March 2005 - Machinery and Material
moves on the site.
· 2nd March 2005 - Land Surveyor demarked
the physical boundaries to begin the foundation.
· 21st February 2005 - Site of Hegalle Mahavidyalaya
was handed over to Jaywise Constructions for construction of Boundary
Fence..
· 17th February 2005 - Procurement Committee presented
the Analysis of Boundary Fence Tenders to the RTSL Board at the
NEX meeting. It was decided to award the Tender to Jaywise Construction
· 14th February 2005 - Arch International,
company of Tr. Romesh Fonseka forwarded the Analysis of Boundary
Fence Tenders to the Procurement committee by email.
· 12th February 2005 - Draft Building Plans
discussed with the Hegalle School committee by Tr. Romesh Fonseka,
Design & Monitoring Convenor and RTSL President.
· 10th February 2005 -
: Boundary Fence Tenders were opened by the Procurement
Committee, Tr. Sivamohan & Tr. Altaf Jeevunjee, in the Presence
of Tr. Tushar Amalean, RTSL President, Tr. Chamika Godammanna, RTS
Cordinator & Tr. Romesh Fonseka, Design & Monitoring Convenor.
Tenders handed over to Tr. Romesh Fonseka for Analysis Report.
: Building Time Plans discussed with the School
Board.
· 2nd February 2005 - BOQ for Boundary Fence
given to number of Contractors for estimates.
· 1st February 2005 - BOQ for Boundary Fence
given to Procurement Committee - Tr. Sivamohan & Tr. Altaf Jeevunjee.
· 26th January 2005 - Foundation Stone Ceremony
Held.
· 21st January 2005 - Preliminary discussion
held with Principal, Vice Principal & Parents Association President.
· 21st January 2005 - MOU Signed with The
Ministry of Education.
· 19th January 2005 - RTSL revisit to the
school to access the requirements.
· 7th January 2005 - RTSL visit to the school
to access the destruction.
· 6th January 2005 - Ministry of Education
(MEO) gave list of schools in the south to Round Table Sri Lanka
(RTSL).
